German II - TNSP
Self-Paced Courses are accessed through our learning management system. The students are guided by clear weekly schedules, instructional videos, and automated assessments. Courses are written to be completed in one academic year, but students set their own pace. No grading is provided, but answer keys are available for most courses. Access is for one calendar year.
Course Description: Using the books German Made Simple by Arnold Leitner and German Grammar Drills by Ed Swick, students will continue learning the German language. The second half of this year involves an intensive workshop in mastering the skills learned in the first three semesters. There are homework assignments, quizzes, memorization activities, composition projects, and exams. Grammar that is covered includes the following:
Ordinal numbers; Dates; Future Tense; Present, Past, and Future Perfect Tenses; Formation of the Past Participle; Indirect Questions with wie, wo, wann, wer, was, warum; Formal letters; Infinitive with and without zu; Comparison of adjectives; Comparison of adverbs; Participles used as adjectives; Informal letters; Subjunctive Mood; Indirect discourse; Passive Voice; and more!
Age Range: 7th-12th grade
Lab Time: Not available in 2015
Prerequisite(s): Beginning German or equivalent.

Components: Agenda, Video Lecture (grammar lesson), Automated Quiz, Audio Recording of Prayer, Activity Sheet, Study Guide. Access is granted for one year.
